Bitstop attends Apricot2004

Supermicro Taps Bitstop for TechSupport
Redwood taps Bitstop to handle the software and hardware technical support for its line of Supermicro servers in the northern luzon area.
Supermicro servers are the same servers used by search engine Google, and a host of other universities for cluster computing.
Bitstop is honored to have been appointed by Redwood.
BCF IT Week Activities
Bitstop is proud to be part of the Baguio Colleges Foundations’ IT Week celebration. This will be on March 8 to 10, 2004
Bitstop will be conducting a workshop on Enterprise-wide Anti-virus Strategies and deployment. This is a hands on workshop that will teach system administrators install an evaluation copy of Sophos Enterprise Anti-virus system onto a simulated LAN.
Bitstop and AMDG will be conducting a WARCRAFT tournament on March 9 at BCF. Interested participants are asked to contact Dean Raymund Dilan at BCF.
SIGGRAPH Manila Webcast Today!
From 10:00am onwards to 5:30pm today, Ateneo is hosting SIGGRAPH Manila. This event is simulcast in the top schools here in the North like St Paul University, Cagayan, Northwestern University, Laoag, Lorma Colleges, La Union, Lyceum Northwestern University and University of Luzon in Dagupan.

SIGGRAPH Manila Simulcast in Northern Luzon
Bitstop is proud to be tapped by Ateneo to webcast its SIGGRAPH manila event on Feb 20, 2004. The webcast will be aired also at St Paul University in Tuguegarao, Lyceum Northwestern University and University of Luzon in Dagupan, Lorma Colleges in San Fernando and Northwestern University in Laoag.
Featured speakers include Mr Alain Chesnais, current president of ACM Siggraph, the world’s leading organization dedicated to the generation and dissemination of information on computer graphics and interactive technics, and Mr YT Lee, associate professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
Topics include Real-Time High Fidelity Graphics for Archaeological Site Reconstructions and Extracting 3D Models from 2D sketches.

Bitstop Resource Speaker @ PSITE affair
The first Regional Student Assembly on Information Technology Education dubbed as “SAITE 2004” with the theme “The KSP (Knowledge, Skills & Power) of a Techie” was held on February 2 3, 2004 at the Olongapo City Convention Center, Olongapo City.
SAITE 2004 featured well-known academic and industrial leaders as plenary speakers. It’s aim is to provide a venue for educators, students and professionals to share and upgrade their knowledge in IT. Mr Chua’s topic covered hacking and countermeasures.
