The NEC Token for I Series is a capacitor manufactured by NEC. This device is used for current filtration, conversion, stabilization, and output power. It is necessary to replace the entire system, which is easy to do. In addition, NEC/TOKINs are easy to install. They have a low profile, and are very convenient. They can be easily replaced when they fail.
To fix this problem, replace the full capacitors. The original NEC/TOKIN Capacitors are not able to provide the necessary voltage for the CELL/RSX, YLOD, and YLOD. Alternatively, replace the original NEC/TOKIN caps with Tantalum capacitors. The resulting voltage should be close to the original value.
To fix this problem, isolate the two capacitors using electical tape. Then, remove the EMI Sheild. After removing the EMI Sheild, reboot the console. You may have to replace more capacitors.
