It took our team a long time to track it down. From what we have so far. The vulnerability is traced to Mailenable software. This allows a virus to propagate into the servers and install rootkits and backdoors into the affected servers. While i was in Singapore, my laptop (Samsung Q35) crashed. Since i did not have my recovery CD with me, i went to Plaza Singapura where Samsung Service center was. I was told that they would reformat the system, and would take at least 5 days to do that.(What????) Since I wasn't staying that long, i decided to buy another OS.
At the Funan Center (much like the Philippines' Virra Mall), i bough a Vista OS. Installed it and had it running. Wow! Vista seems to make my laptop much faster than it was before (Windows XP). So i wonder where...
