Congratulations to IMMAP

Mr John Ang represented bitstop in the launching of IMMAP (Internet and Mobile Maarketing Association of the Philippines) held at the Bed 3/f Greenbelt 2, Makati Metro Manila. IMMAP was launched last night with Donald Lim of Yehey.com leading the group. The organization was founded by 15 individuals who are involved in Internet and/or mobile marketing. The vision of IMMAP is to become the premier marketing association for Internet and mobile organizations. bitstop is evaluating a demo unit of PLDT's weRoam service. We are now testing this out with our eRadioportal streaming. PLDT weRoam service is an internet access connection service that hooks up anywhere you have smart cell site coverage. The package consists of a PCMCIA card that fits into the slot of most notebooks. The idea is to have internet coverage anywhere there is a Smart cell site. Bulacan.gov.ph wins LGU Award

The Provincial Government of Bulacan, the City Government of Naga, Camarines Sur and the Municipal Government of Lugait, Misamis Oriental garnered the top spots in the 2006 Search for Best Local Government Websites, an annual contest sponsored by the National Computer Center under its eLGU Project.  The search was broken down into three categories namely provincial, city and municipal, while a special award was reserved for the best LGU website developed using the NCC Content Management System (CMS). The Municipal Government of Infanta, Quezon clinched the said award.
