“MOBILE telecommunications firm Smart Communications recently announced that it is offering a free web-hosting service and an online library of classic literature to all current recipients of its Smart Schools Program. The schools can create their own webpage and get at least 50 megabytes of free space for their content, which would be made available through the program's website (www.smartschools.ph).

The website will also carry a mirror of the Project Gutenberg (www.gutenberg.org) online digital network of over 19,000 public domain works ranging from classic literature to music and the arts. Smart donated a server that will run the mirror site (gutenberg.smartschools.ph) in the Philippines. The complete collection will be available next month, Smart said.”
