re: Canon Philippines @ Bitstop
Dear Canon,
We bought a laptop in a computer shop here in pampanga. They gave us a free "CANON MINI MP3 player" with a box label advertisment "Episode 3, revenge of the sith. I found it hard to install the driver to my computer and so i tried to avail it at the net by using your web. I was a little bit confused when i tried to look at the model of this player and i cant find it? Dose really canon produce this product or they just use your brand name? Please give me light on the matter.
Thanks,
Mr. Valencia

Canon IXUS i5
I would like to appeal to you my very long time concern regarding the Canon IXUS i5 I bought from CompLink (Ayala Center branch) last year.
To give you the specific details, the said unit was bought last September 16, 2005 with Official Receipt No. 6827 from CompLink Marketing, Inc. The Canon IXUS i5 has a serial no. of 9144203329 at the bottom.
My main concern or complain was that I found the unit to be defective after using it for 2months. It’s because I noticed that the battery easily becomes drain after using it for a few minutes from the time it was fully charged. The LCD shows “Change the battery pack”. This has been the same old scenario everytime I am going to use the camera. At first, I thought something’s wrong with the battery or maybe, the charger. And so, I tried calling up Canon office but I was told to contact CompLink instead. And so I did. Upon telling CompLink my story, they weren’t so sure if the warranty covers the battery as well. So, since I don’t wanna be calling up Canon again… and then Canon will just ask me to call up CompLink again too… for THEIR convenience, I decided to just bought a new battery for the unit.
And to my dismay, I still encountered the same old story! When I reported this to Ms. Faye Remarata – Head of the CompLink Ayala branch, she suggested that I return the unit this time and have it fixed or replaced by Canon. And so I did. After 3 weeks, I got a call from CompLink saying that my unit was there already – ready for pick up anytime. But unfortunately, I was informed that Canon refused to fixed or replaced it because according to them, the unit is in good condition.
Hello???!! Should I be wasting all my time and money for this non-sense? I’ve spend more than 20,000 pesos to buy that digicam because I really thought I was making a good decision buying a high quality and well-known brand. I even spent another 3,000 bucks just to get another battery. But to no help at all! I can only use the camera for like few minutes and then, the phrase “Change the battery pack” will appear on the LCD. It always says the same thing.
I have missed capturing photos of very important events, occasions, vacations, etc. because of this camera! Besides, it doesn’t give a sharper resolution to pictures as compared to a lower brand and model that my 2 sisters have. I should have bought a cheaper yet excellent quality with a warranty that I am sure to avail of in case needed. In as much as I don’t wanna be wasting my time again telling this story to you, I am really fed up with this camera. And all I wanted to do was to just throw this unit every time I cannot use it for a very special moment.
Now, to all people concern in Canon, I would like to ask for a full replacement or refund of my money. I don’t care whatever you’d say but I believe I am entitle for my own right to demand. Customer satisfaction should always be your priority. Having been there for so long, please stand firm to our responsibilities and obligations. Otherwise, I can just tell my story to the whole wide world and go to a respective people who can help me with this.
Waiting for your immediate action.

P.S.
I was trying to send email direct to Canon at info@canon.com.ph but my mail keeps on bouncing back. How come Canon doesn’t accept mails from public when in fact they should be concern on public feedbacks and insights?
Poor products and worst service!

re: Canon Philippines @ Bitstop
I am an owner of a canon powershot A95 purchased in the U.S. as a gift from relatives 2 years ago. Also a friend purchased the same brand & model from some one who came from the USA which was still brand new 3 months after we got ours.
Both of these cameras our now experiencing LCD screen malfunctions. We could no longer use this to focus our shots & after taking the pictures the images would appear darker than the usual. When taking pictures in the outdoors, the images shown have lines on them - still not making use of the LCD to focus our shots.
Is this a factory defect? How come we the same malfunctions?
We need help where to have these cameras fixed which we have enjoyed using and would want to continue using for many years to come.

re: Canon Philippines @ Bitstop
Hello Canon Philippines @
Bitstop Inc
,
I just wanted to know if there is a service center here in Iloilo City, or at least near in Iloilo City? Because my canon digital ixus camera, model PC1191, the one with the wifi, cannot be open even the battery is fully charge. Maybe because my son push the on/off button too hard. Me and my family were using it every occasion, and even in the office for documentations, so, please, I want to hear if there is a cure for this?
thanks and GOD Bless!!!

quality manual
All companies exporting products or services to the European Union (EU) may someday be contractually required to have ISO certification to sell into the market. Even today, contractual requirements are finding their way into purchase orders for products manufactured in Japan, the United States and elsewhere. Currently, the requirement for ISO 9001 registration is clearly market-driven. Officials in the EU are considering mandatory regulatory requirements relative to registration. This is especially true in regulated industries, such as medical device manufacturing and telecommunications. For example, as of the summer of 1998, a business is not allowed to sell medical devices in the EU, unless a Notified Body certifies their quality management system and / or products.
