“CPCAP established the first Philippine Online Dispute Resolution (PH-ODR) – an online “multidoor courthouse”, to promote use technology in dispute resolution for speedy and inexpensive resolution of disputes outside of the court system. Asia Foundation funded CPCAP’s PH-ODR while Microsoft Philippines joined the effort as the technology partner, providing key assistance in software development. During the pilot implementation phase, scheduled to run until July 30, 2004, the CyberNet Group (CNG) shall be hosting the PH-ODR’s data hub. Spyware is a categorical term given to applications and software that log information about a user's online habits and report back to the software's creators. The effects of these programs range from unwanted pop-up ads and browser hijacking to more dangerous security breaches, which include the theft of personal information, keystroke logging, changing dialup ISP numbers to expensive toll numbers, and installing backdoors on a system that leave it open for hackers.
