Magsaysay Commercial Center hit by Fire

Magsaysay Commercial Center in downtown Dagupan was hit by fire at around 8:20 pm. The fire is still raging as we write this post. Firetrucks from Panda, Dagupan City, Mangaldan, San Carlos, Sual, Lingayen, Bayambang, Mapandan and USATV, Star Plaza responded. Pictures are seen in the Gallery section to the right of the homepage.

Hack and Counter-Hack Seminar Updates

The seminar will be webcasted from the Dagupan City Museum. This is the principal venue. This is on the 2nd floor of the building in front of the City Plaza. T-Shirt Designs Needed

Calling all the cool graphics artists out there! Bitstop is looking for T-shirt design entries for Nitro Internet. The format must be emailed in to spg@bitstop.ph and be suitable for T-shirt printing. We will need one design each for the months of October, November and December. Each design that we select and use for our T-shirts will be paid P 2,500.00. Logos of Bitstop, Mozcom and Nitro must be used in the designs.

PMS adds yet another MS Certification

Our congratulations to Mr Sonny Santiago of PMS for adding yet another Microsoft Certification. He passed the 70-28 exam ---Managing Windows 2000 Network Infrastructure which includes Administering Network Infra and Administering Active Directory. 3 more exams to go for the MCSE!

Mozcom Confers Award to Bitstop

Bitstop Inc., the Mozcom franchisee for Pangasinan, Zambales and Ilocos has been awarded the prestigious Dr. Willy N. Gan Achievement Award by Mozcom. The ceremonies were held at the Manila Peninsula Hotel on Sept 17, 2004. "The first Willy N. Bitstop is proud to have been chosen by the Information Systems Security Society of the Philippines as its official webhosting provider. ISSSP has in the past 3 years sponsored a yearly 9/11 conference and exhibit to create awareness on the importance of Information Security. Mozcom 10th year Anniversary Celebration

Our warmest greetings to Mozcom on its 10th year anniversary celebration. A bus will be touring Dagupan city on Sunday to coincide with the “RP Tour Showdown Cycling Festival” this sunday, Sept 12, 2004. The race will kick off at the City Plaza at around 9:00am. Bitstop staff will ride on the bus and make periodic stopovers where they will be giving out 1 hour free Nitro cards!

Bitstop 'Hackable' Server

As part of Bitstop's ongoing security training, we will be putting online a server that is open to hack attacks. All white hat hackers are invited to take a swipe at this server. We will publish the URL details sometime soon.

10th Year College Week @ VMUF

Bitstop Inc. has been invited to demonstrate our IP PBX solution and Wireless AP during the 10th year College Week celebrations at Virgen Milagrosa Foundation. The IP PBX solution boast of several advantages, namely, PABX functions, Voice Mail, Integrated Voice Response System, Instant Messaging and Location Service in one package. Further, because it is IP based, it uses ordinary LAN cables to connect the Line and Phone boxes. The wireless Access Point, on the other hand, allows companies to effectively rollout LAN to adjacent buildings without the use of costly wiring.
